About Tess
I love cooking. I was raised by a chef mother and teacher father in the wild and beautiful mountains of Santa Barbara.
I studied the body in college, first as an artist in figure drawing classes, then as a biomedical science major, studying anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and pursuing a degree in Nursing.
After working in a hospital, I realized I wanted to support people more holistically, and in a less clinical environment.
I learned to prepare food from my mother, catering endless events since childhood. I continued to learn by working in restaurants. Some of my favorite past jobs include The London Plane in Seattle, and Chez Panisse in Berkeley.
Becoming a mother is an incredible brain altering phase. It has brought me more confidence, self awareness, and admiration for what I can accomplish. I am so delighted to be working to support moms and families as they chart this unknown course.
I find endless inspiration in my role as mother to my two magical children.
